Since early 2016, Navitas teachers globally have participated in more than 14,000 hours of professional development in courses run by L&T Services.

Three months after the end of their course, participants are asked to consider what changes they have made to their practice. This series invites those teachers to share a learning and teaching challenge and their strategies and learnings from the process.

Each session includes Q&A discussion with the presenter and other attendees to help you connect with others in the learning and teaching community.

Learning and teaching in courses has gradually been drifting away from traditional methods over the past few decades. Living in a technological era, most of our students are tech-savvy and researchers and educators have been enthusiastically promoting the blending of technology in education.

Blended learning combines both online and offline material during in-class teaching. This poses several challenges for both teachers and students but can also bring enormous benefits.

In this event, Kari Qasem demonstrates how a flipped classroom can offer a strategy to reduce the amount of teacher talk during class and provide students with more support as they apply knowledge. A flipped classroom is a type of blended learning where students view their lecture material at home and do coursework in class.
