USA/Los Angeles 8.00pm | Tues 28th March
Europe/London 4.00am | Wed 29th March

Presenter: Andrea Chester – Deputy PVC, Learning and Teaching & Interim Head, School of Education – RMIT

When Andrea spoke on the power of partnerships at the latest Navitas Professional Institute Conference, her keynote was described as: “engaging and thought-provoking […] the breadth of her presentation spoke to all in attendance and set the tone for the rest of the conference“. Andrea joins us from RMIT for this special online event to share her research and insights with an even wider audience, tackling questions relevant to our colleges around the world.

Partnerships can offer us superpowers: transforming learning, encouraging engagement and fostering innovation. So how can our staff work more closely with our students? And how can we foster a community in which students work together?

Andrea’s presentation will focus on the partnerships between students as peer mentors, peer partnerships with teaching staff and student-staff partnerships in learning and teaching innovation. Whether you’re a teacher, academic manager or lead a business where partnerships play a crucial role, this is a chance to hear new perspectives on the importance of collaboration in education.

Andrea Chester is currently the Deputy Pro Vice-Chancellor, Learning and Teaching and Interim Head, School of Education, where her focus is leading the development of innovative and high quality program design and delivery.
Andrea has 20+ years teaching experience and is committed to the professional development of teachers and has worked actively to embed reflective practice across the university through the Peer Partnerships program.
