Something to say? Try event blogging!

The Learning and Teaching at Navitas website is where our inspiring people share their L&T initiatives, projects, stories, events and more. It’s designed to kick-start conversations, connections and collaborations with Navitas colleagues around the world, and is open to everyone interested in Learning and Teaching.

So you’d like to contribute, but not sure where to start? Try your hand at being a Learning & Teaching event blogger!

Here’s how you can get involved in 4 easy steps:

  1. Register for an event you’re interested in. You don’t have to know much about it, but it definitely helps if you’re curious. Don’t forget to contact us and let us know you’re planning to do a write-up!
  2. Take a few notes whilst the event is running. If you want to re-visit anything, we usually share the recording soon after the event. You could even contact the presenter(s) to ask for some further comments and info.
  3. Pull your thoughts together into a few key headings and 3-4 paragraphs (~ 300-700 words). You can do a basic description of the event and key points, a reflective piece or even add your own thinking on the subject.
  4. Send to learningandteaching@navitas.com and we’ll work with you to help you edit and finish your post, including finding an image for it. We’ll aim to get it on the website within a week or so of the event.

Still not sure? Take a look at Ingrid’s quick overview, Lucy’s straight summary or Michelle’s personal reflection for some different approaches and to see just how easy it can be.

It’s also a great chance for some personal reflection and PD – there’s nothing like a written summary to make sure you’ve understood something!

So go ahead and choose your first event, or catch up with us on Yammer to chat further. We can’t wait to hear from you!
