About this module
What are learning analytics and how can they be used to monitor and support student learning and engagement? In this module, you will be introduced to the skills and processes required to gather, interpret, and act upon student data. You will explore the key applications and functions of learning analytics, including the theoretical foundations and various levels of analytics. You will also explore the types of data that can be utilised, the role of analytics in decision-making, and ethical and privacy considerations. Upon completion of this module, you will be equipped to apply foundational learning analytic principles to identify, diagnose and report on student retention and academic performance strategies.

Delivery
Introduction to Learning Analytics will be available on the L&T Moodle platform, and you will have continuous access to the module from when you start. There will be light-touch moderation, various activities and opportunities for peer-to-peer interaction, and an assessment task to submit at the end of the module. This module requires approximately 3-5 hours to complete. Further information will be provided in the module.
Successful completion
