Over the last five years we’ve taken regular ‘dips’ to explore teachers’ usage and attitudes towards technology at Navitas. Kicking off in 2011 in Navitas English, this ongoing research was adapted and expanded in 2013/14 for PEP (Professional and English Programs) and in 2016 will be opened up to all divisions and all 4,000+ teachers across Navitas.
This will be an interactive discussion session. After a quick visual tour of the 2014 findings, we’re throwing the discussion wide open so you can share your thoughts, hypotheses and hunches on questions such as:
- How are you/teachers currently using technology in our colleges and courses?
- What encourages you/teachers to adopt and integrate technologies into teaching practice?
- What are teachers looking for in terms of support, inspiration and innovation in learning technologies?
Whether you’re a current teacher, college/school manager or just curious about how you can get your college involved for the 2016 research, come along!
You’ll get more out of the session if you’ve already thought about the questions above and have a little background on the technology surveys we’ve done so far. Take a leisurely stroll through a full presentation of the 2014 findings or a bracing dip into a brief summary here.
