The ‘flipped classroom’ involves students engaging in some form of preliminary learning online in preparation for connecting this learning to application of knowledge while they are in the classroom. It is not a simple reversal of what happens in a traditional classroom, instead, it is to utilise the class time to engage in deeper interaction with peers and the instructor as they engage in higher order cognitive work.

This 4-hour workshop is designed for SIBT and WSU-SCC teachers to provide you with a working understanding and experience of successful flipped classroom teaching strategies that can be applied to your own teaching contexts.
